ACTual Solutions, LLC was created by a father-son team in 2005 to provide important services for families, schools, businesses and communities. Our broad and deep talent/resource pool enables us to provide clients with a rich range of high-quality tutoring, personal coaching, school program planning and evaluation, professional development, and organizational development services at very reasonable rates.
We understand that as students progress through school, their development involves more than academics. They develop dispositions that endure over time and significantly affect how they define, approach, and carry out their roles in their personal, career, and community lives. With so much at stake, it is important to provide students with the supports they need to experience success. Experienced success engenders a sense of self-efficacy - a "can do" attitude - and strengthens the ties between young people, their schools, and their communities. In appreciation of this conceptual backdrop, ACTual Solutions has committed itself to identifying, seizing, and maximizing opportunities to support families, schools, and student success.
Since 2005, we have worked with thousands of students to achieve their individual goals, and our track record of success has given us the reputation that we have earned today. We have worked with students as young as 2 years old; students of all learning types, including learning disabled and advanced placement students; adult learners seeking to return to adult education of all ages, up to 75 years old; students that have achieved tremendous success on the SAT and ACT by increasing their scores by hundreds of points; assisted students with all aspects of the college application process, from selecting a school, completing applications, and writing application essays.
We have committed ourselves to providing clients with excellent service and we hold ourselves to high standards. We understand that our level of knowledge, our skill, and our attitudes have everything to do with whether or not we achieve our goal of becoming the best education service available to you.

Mrs. DaSilva holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a certification in Elementary Education from William Paterson University. After teaching in the public school system, she realized that she wanted to be more dedicated to struggling students and decided to tutor full-time. She joined the ACTual Solutions team in 2007 as a tutor of math, SAT and ACT Preparation. Like a majority of our team, she was trained by a national tutoring organization, and decided that she prefers the personalized approach of one on one tutoring. She quickly separated herself as the best tutor, and we recognized that her talents can help ACTual Solutions' students beyond one-on-one tutoring.
Mrs. DaSilva currently serves as an Operations Manager and Program Development and Curriculum Manager. She is actively involved in helping clients to identify and address their needs through services provided by ACTual Solutions, as well as pre-screening, evaluating, and assigning our tutors. She is currently spearheading our program development efforts by developing curriculum for both individual and group tutoring.
